Eurostar provides guide for travellers with autism Yurtdışı Haberleri by railsistem - Mayıs 15, 20190 EUROPE: Eurostar has launched a virtual guide designed to help passengers with autism have a stress-free journey. The cross-Channel high speed train operator reviewed its travel experience with the Ambitious About Autism charity, which advised that travellers with autism are more comfortable if they have seen information about sights and sounds in advance. This led to the creation of a virtual guide to what the operators describes as its ‘unique journey’, involving stations which combine elements from airports and domestic rail travel. There are tips and advice for each stage, including the ticket gates, security checks, boarding, onboard experience and arrival. ‘Many autistic people can find travelling an overwhelming experience so having information about what to expect before they set off is really important’, said Ambitious About Autism Chief Executive Jolanta Lasota. ‘We hope this new visual guide will help autistic travellers feel more comfortable and confident ahead of embarking on international travel.’ Eurostar said the initiative was one of a number designed to improve the passenger experience, including changes to making wheelchair bookings and a new process for non-accredited assistance dogs. source= https://www.railwaygazette.com/news/passenger/single-view/view/eurostar-provides-guide-for-travellers-with-autism.html Paylaşmak Güzeldir...
