Stadler Delivers First Accessible TINA Tram to The Hague Yurtdışı Haberleri by railsistem - Eylül 7, 20260 Stadler and Dutch transport operator HTM have unveiled the first TINA tram for the Netherlands, marking a new phase of accessible tram travel in The Hague. The TINA fleet will support HTM’s ambition to provide a high-quality, future-ready public transport network while expanding accessible mobility across the growing region. Officials and residents of The Hague — including passengers using wheelchairs, walkers, and a guide dog — pose in front of TINA, HTM’s new accessible tram, at its launch event © Stadler Stadler’s contract with HTM covers the delivery of 62 low-floor trams, making the operator the largest customer for the TINA platform worldwide. This is Stadler’s first-ever contract in the Dutch market and represents a huge milestone in The Hague. The TINA — short for Totally Integrated Low Floor — trams are approximately 36.5 metres long and can carry up to 237 passengers. With the mechanical components of the vehicle located below the flooring within, a spacious interior allows for a flexible multifunctional area. These areas are designed to accommodate disabled passengers travelling in wheelchairs or with children in pushchairs. Passengers benefit from large panoramic windows as well as high ceilings, while a modern driver assistance system with a digital cockpit and collision protection supports safe, efficient operations. Dr Ansgar Brockmeyer, Deputy Group CEO of the Stadler Group, said: Today is a proud moment for everyone involved in this project. Together with HTM, we have developed a vehicle that reflects the needs of a modern city; accessible, comfortable, reliable and designed with passengers at its heart. HTM’s existing fleet is expected to be replaced in 2026 following a year of rigorous testing, initially entering service on lines 1, 6 and 12. Manufactured at the company’s plant in Siedlce, Poland, the trial follows an extensive collaboration between HTM, Stadler and local stakeholders. The four newly developed TINA bogies mark the beginning of a new energy-efficient public transport system in The Hague.
