Stadler has been awarded a contract to provide 14 modern low-floor TINA trams to both the Görlitz transport authority (GVB) and Zwickau municipal transport authority (SVZ).

The announcement marks a major milestone for the company, with TINA trams now set to operate in eight different European cities.

With commissioning scheduled for 2028, the trams are set to be used on metre-gauge networks in Görlitz (eight trams) and Zwickau (six trams).

Thus far, Stadler’s TINA tram is already operational in Basel, The Hague, Darmstadt, Gera, Halle (Saale), and Rostock.

Each vehicle measures in at 30 metres in length, features a fully low-floor, and has been designed with accessibility in mind. The trams utilise wide doors, offer step-free transitions and multi-purpose areas for passengers with reduced mobility, as well as for families or those with luggage.

Inside, the trams bost high ceilings, large panoramic windows, fully air-conditioned passenger compartments, modern information and monitoring systems, ergonomically designed driver’s cabs and full assistance systems.
