Washington, D.C. – The Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) has appointed Jacob Carter as its new government affairs manager. In this role Carter will co-ordinate the organisation’s ‘Grassroots Program’, which liaises between Members of Congress and operators and suppliers based in their districts.

David Tennent, Executive Director and CEO of REMSA, said:

“REMSA is excited to have Jacob join our team. His background in policy and experience on the Hill will be well served in promoting REMSA’s membership and the positive impact the rail industry has on the Nation’s economy.  It’s a story that needs to be shared.”

Jacob Carter said:

Prior to his appointment Carter, who has a BA in Political Science from George Washington University, served as government affairs analyst for the Bockorny Group. He has also completed internships for Senator Martin Heinrich, Congressman Bill Owens, and Senator Claire McCaskill.
