CAF to Supply 14 Coradia Polyvalent Trains for Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Yurtdışı Haberleri by railsistem - Temmuz 16, 20250 CAF has secured a new contract for the delivery of 14 Coradia Polyvalent regional trains for operation in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. The contract has been awarded as a result of agreements currently in place between Alstom and CAF following the latter’s acquisition of the Reichshoffen plant in 2022, and will see CAF handle design and manufacturing duties for the trains, whilst Alstom supplies part of the necessary equipment. CAF will supply 14 Coradia Polyvalent regional trains to the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region © CAF The new units will complement the region’s existing fleet of 48 Coradia Polyvalent regional trains, with nearly 450 already in use across France. As part of the order, CAF will supply five electric Intercités trains with six cars and seating for 355 passengers, and nine bi-mode four-car TER trains with 228 seats. The units offer larger restrooms and facilities in order to aid those with reduced mobility, with each one of the nine TER trains set to be equipped with an additional parking brake and ETCS (European Train Control System) capabilities. CAF recently secured a contract for the supply of 38 Urbos trams for the Grenoble Area Mobility Union (SMMAG).
