Poland: Alstom to Modernise Rail Traffic Control on Poznań Freight Bypass Yurtdışı Haberleri by railsistem - Nisan 1, 20250 Alstom has been chosen to deliver a slew of new rail traffic control systems for the Poznań freight bypass in Poland. The works, which will be carried out under a contract between Alstom and Krakowskie Zakłady Automatyki S.A., will see the installation of railway traffic control devices at both stations and the Poznań Franowo Local Control Centre, as well as the reconstruction of railway traffic control devices in the Poznań IV Local Control Centre. As one of the largest manufacturers of railway control systems and devices in Europe, we have unique competences, and many years of experience gained on the domestic and international market. Alstom will also supply a set of new line devices, as well as undertake the modernisation of existing devices such as line block devices and devices at rail-road crossings. The contract forms part of a series of investments on local railway lines no. 395 and 352, with further projects including the modernisation of roughly 70km of tracks and creation of new railway stations within Poznań, as well as an overall reconstruction of tracks and associated traction network. As part of the new series of investments, staff at PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe workstations will receive modernised computer devices to allow for remote and automatic traffic control on select portions of the network, as well as computer systems to aid in self-diagnostics, damage registration and facilitation of the operation of railway control devices as a whole.
