TAZARA seeks opportunities with the private sector Yurtdışı Haberleri by railsistem - Haziran 13, 20190 AFRICA: The Tanzania-Zambia Railway Authority board is seeking to develop open access operations to increase traffic on its network, ‘in view of the good performance by the private operator so far’. Following its meeting in Dar es Salaam on June 1, the board directed the railway’s management to appoint a contracts manager who would work with open access operators and facilitate the hiring of locomotives from other operators. The board also approved plans to form a joint venture with a private investor for the operation and management of TAZARA’s Mununga Quarry, and decided to evaluate the possibility of using public-private partnership models to finance the rehabilitation of unused locomotives and the development of its land assets. It also approved the procurement of an induction furnace and other equipment for the railway’s Mpika Workshops. TAZARA has budgeted for the transport of 300 000 tonnes of freight and 800 000 passengers in the 2019-20 financial year. source= https://www.railwaygazette.com/news/news/africa/single-view/view/tazara-seeks-opportunities-with-the-private-sector.html Paylaşmak Güzeldir...
