MoniRail is delighted to announce that it has secured additional funding from Connected Places Catapult, enabling the company to further develop its AI-powered technology and strengthen its commercial business case.

MoniRail have been taking part in the ‘Smarter Transport Systems – AI in Transport’ competition, delivered by the Catapult and funded by the Department for Transport. The programme aims to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across the transport sector, supporting organisations that are using digital innovation to improve integration, efficiency, and customer experience.

At the Connected Places Summit in London, MoniRail showcased its work to industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers. The event brought together some of the most forward-thinking organisations in the sector, making it a valuable platform for MoniRail to demonstrate the potential of its technology. From a pool of 83 applications MoniRail, alongside KIGO and Trackbase, has been awarded further funding. Each of the three selected companies will receive £13,000 to advance their business cases, along with tailored support from Connected Places Catapult to identify prospective clients and accelerate market adoption.
