AARC Professional Services showcases training expertise at RIA Innovation Conference.

Rail Consultancy also strengthens its customer commitment with drive to ISO certification.

Rail consultancy AARC Professional Services Limited will be showcasing its training expertise when it makes an appearance at the Railway Industry Association’s (RIA) Innovation Conference next month.

Held on 26th and 27th March at the ICC Wales in Newport, the event brings together industry leaders, engineers, entrepreneurs and passionate railway professionals to share innovations and inspire attendees with technological and research advancements from the UK and further afield.

The conference features keynote speakers, an expanded exhibition section for innovators to highlight their products and services, tech talks, research/development/innovation showcases, a future focus zone and evening networking and dinner.

And highlighting its rail operations & training expertise at the event will be AARCPS, a consultancy run by railway people for railway people and represented by Managing Director Steve Derrick and training specialist Greg Edwards.

Steve commented:

“We’re really looking forward to attending the Innovation Conference, as it’s the ideal opportunity to talk about our projects in Wales, including our work with Amey Infrastructure Wales, which has involved the recruitment, training and assessment of dedicated Electrical Control Operator (ECO) resource to manage electrical supply and emergency response for the newly-installed OLE and associated infrastructure as part of the Core Valley Lines upgrade.

The Innovation Conference is also the ideal opportunity for AARCPS to showcase its different approach to training, delivering bespoke courses designed to meet each individual client’s specific requirements through a combination of technical and non-technical skills.

In addition to its appearance at the conference, AARCPS is also further cementing its credentials as a supplier of high-quality consultancy services to the rail industry with a drive towards ISO 9001 certification for its quality management systems.

ISO 9001 itself is a globally recognized standard for quality management, designed to help organizations of all sizes and sectors improve performance, meet customer expectations and demonstrate commitment to quality, with those achieving it required to demonstrate how to establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve a quality management system (QMS).

Explaining AARCPS’s reasoning for seeking ISO 9001 certification, MD Steve Derrick said:

“As an organisation committed to delivering outstanding outcomes, it’s essential that we are able to illustrate our understanding of what good quality management systems look like, sharing this best practice with our clients. Certification is also a further demonstration of our professional credentials, which includes Cyber Essentials, with all of our associates trained in cyber security for the benefit and protection of the business and its clients.”

Scheduled for completion towards the end of this year, the ISO workstream is being led for AARCPS by Transport Systems and HSQE Specialist Liz Parkes.
