Chicago Transit Authority Issues RFP for Red Line Extension Yurtdışı Haberleri by railsistem - Mayıs 17, 20230 The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) has selected three prequalified teams to submit proposals for its Red Line Extension (RLE) project. This 3.6 billion USD project will extend rail services by 5.6 miles to Chicago’s Far South Side from the existing southern terminal at 95th Street to 130th Street. As part of this project, four new rail stations and a modern railcar storage yard and maintenance facility will be constructed. The 5.6-mile extension will include new stations near 103rd Street, 111th Street, Michigan Avenue, and 130th Street CTA President Dorval R. Carter, Jr. said: “Today we move closer to providing Chicago residents with an extended and improved commute on the Red Line, our busiest line, by selecting the best and most qualified firms to ultimately build this dream and make it a reality. This historic project represents equity for the underserved South Side community by finally giving them a rail line that extends to the city limits.” In October 2022, CTA issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for firms to submit their qualifications. After considering a pool of potential candidates, it has now identified the most qualified teams to design and build the rail extension. The three selected entities are: FH Paschen, Ragnar Benson, Milhouse and BOWA Joint Venture; Kiewit Infrastructure; and Walsh VINCI Transit Community Partners. Project proposals from these candidates will be due in early 2024. source= https://railway-news.com/chicago-transit-authority-issues-rfp-for-red-line-extension/ Paylaşmak Güzeldir...
