Network Rail Completes Track Upgrades at Newcastle Central Yurtdışı Haberleri by railsistem - Ekim 11, 20220 Network Rail has announced that its 4.5 million GBP project to upgrade the tracks at Newcastle Central Station is now complete. This work will improve reliability and provide smoother journeys in and out of Newcastle. Network Rail said the work at Newcastle Central station would help create a railway which is fit for the future The improvement work was delivered over ten days and nights and included the renewal of 750 metres of track. During this period, Network Rail replaced the railway’s old timber support system with concrete, which makes it easier to identify any issues with the tracks and fix them more efficiently, thus reducing delays. In addition, work also took place to renew overhead line equipment, switches and crossings. Paul Rutter, Route Director for Network Rail’s East Coast route, said: “Our teams have worked around the clock to deliver this project on time. It is great to see it reach the finish line, so that passengers can begin to reap the benefits of more reliable journeys. “I’d like to thank everyone for their patience whilst these significant upgrades were delivered, ensuring that we can keep running services efficiently and smoothly both now and in the future.” source= https://railway-news.com/network-rail-completes-track-upgrades-at-newcastle-central/ Paylaşmak Güzeldir...
