The Railway Industry Association (RIA) has announced a discounted membership fee for companies with low turnover.

The reduced rate is only £875. This is less than half the cost of the standard fee, which is £1750. The fee became available on 4 September 2018. It is applicable to companies that generate less than £1 million annual turnover and are not owned by companies with more than £50 million annual turnover.

The discount is currently only available for new members, but existing members who meet the criteria will be able to claim it when they renew their membership in 2019.

The discount is intended to encourage more small organisations, SMEs, and sole traders to join the RIA. Additional information on the RIA’s fee structure is available here.

Darren Caplan, Chief Executive of the Railway Industry Association (RIA), said

This new offer should hopefully make it markedly easier for those with lower rail turnovers to join RIA, grow their businesses and benefit from our lobbying, policy, technical, and exports work, tender opportunities and best practice sharing and flagship events. And it helps RIA’s voice to become even more representative.”

The RIA represents the interests of its membership to governments, politicians and the civil service, and develops trade links around the world. The association’s next Annual Conference is scheduled for 22 October 2018.
