UK: New Step-Free Access Opened at Battersea Power Station Yurtdışı Haberleri by railsistem - Ekim 13, 20250 New step-free access to Battersea Power Station’s Underground Station was officially opened last week, giving Tube passengers an additional, fully accessible entrance to access services on the Northern Line. The new entrance aims to provide quick and direct access to the station for those travelling both to and from Battersea’s new pedestrianised high street, Electric Boulevard, as well as improve links for residents throughout the wider area. The station, which was opened in September 2021, typically sees over 1750,000 trips made per week and over 35,000 trips routinely recorded on busier days. An analysis of journey times both before and after the opening of the extension found that it had led to an average saving of 17 minutes in journey time between the area and the City and West End – a decrease of nearly 50%. TfL is currently working with Boldyn Networks to install extensive 4G and 5G mobile coverage throughout the Underground station.
