VIA Rail Canada has launched its new fleet in Southwestern Ontario as part of its mission to modernise rail services on the Québec City-Windsor corridor.

By summer 2025, the entire corridor will be served by state-of-the-art, accessible, and environmentally friendly trains, which will progressively replace the older fleet.

From this summer, the new trains will serve Southwestern Ontario between London and Windsor. By the end of 2024, 63% of the new trains will be in service.

The new trains offer several modern features designed to enhance passenger comfort and accessibility. This includes redesigned ergonomic seats, large adjustable tray tables, Braille and raised displays, and large, fully accessible washrooms.
