Enjoy some nostalgia… Andrew Barclay 0-4-0ST No. 9405 is captured tipping slag near the coast at Haig Colliery, Whitehaven, on September 4, 1962. RM ARCHIVE Several Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns 0-4-0 crane tanks sit on the loco shed at lunchtime on May 13, 1966 at Doxford Shipyard, Sunderland. The locos were named after local districts around the town, with this view showing Roker (left) and Southwick (centre), together with two classmates. Rail working ceased at the shipyard on February 19, 1971. Four of these unusual locos still survive in preservation.
