90 years young and still in service Yurtdışı Haberleri by railsistem - Ekim 30, 20180 ROLLING stock first delivered in 1928 remains in daily use this summer on both sides of the Alps in Switzerland and Italy. In Switzerland, metre gauge operator Rhätische Bahn (RhB) has been operating two pairs of trains between Davos Platz and Filisur, using heritage locos and historic rolling stock, including open air vehicles, between May 10 and October 28, replacing the normal trains. All normal tickets and rail passes are accepted on these heritage services without any additional payment. hB ‘Krokodil’ No. 414 arrives at Davos Wiesen on August 23 with the 11.06 Filisur-Davos Platz. KEITH FENDER RhB has normally used one of the two 1928 vintage Ge6/61 ‘Krokodil’ locos it retains for heritage services. Fifteen of these locos were built between 1921 and 1929 and most were in service until 1984, the last two (Nos. 414 and 415) were transferred to heritage duties in 2008. In Milan, the city’s tram system still relies on large numbers of 1500 series trams, 502 of which were introduced between 1927 and 1930. Read more in the October issue of The RM – on sale now!
