THE French Railway Safety Board (ESPF) has granted an authorisation for the operation of the 200km/h variant of Bombardier’s Régio 2N double-deck EMU for operation on the French main line network.

The Authorisation to Place in Service (APS) applies to the dual-voltage Régio 2N ZL V200 (class Z56500) and includes multiple operation.

Thirteen of the 110m-long eight-car EMUs, which are based on Bombardier’s Omneo platform, have been ordered by the Pays de la Loire region.
