Final Tracks Laid for Grand Paris Express Line 14 North

A new milestone has been reached for the Grand Paris Express project, with teams from RATP laying the last 150 metres of track for line 14 north at the site of the future Saint-Denis Pleyel station.

This follows tunnel boring machine (TBM) Sarah arriving at the site last month by piercing the wall of the structure under a steel bell.

The TBM left the Agnès shaft in February 2022 and is now coming to the end of its shifting.

It will then be moved 700m to Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine to support the construction of a 1.6 km tunnel for line 15 East.

Construction of the Saint-Denis Pleyel station’s passenger building on Boulevard Ornano also continues in earnest, with work currently taking place across multiple levels.

The extended line 14 is scheduled to be commissioned in 2024. Once complete it will link Orly Airport to Saint-Denis Pleyel in just 40 minutes.
