As HS2’s construction partner, BBV already has over 1,500 staff working in offices and construction sites across England, but expects that in total it will support 7,000 jobs to deliver its programme of work in full.

The new roles available include everything from a site-based materials technicians, signallers and engineering assistants through to members of the office-based procurement and transport planning teams.

The company is also offering free taster training opportunities to students considering a career in the construction sector. These can lead to accreditation and provide students with the skills needed to apply for entry-level jobs in the industry.

The training will be offered at BBV’s new Skills Academy, housed within South and City College Birmingham’s Bordesley Green campus.
