Network Rail Awards Carstairs Junction Signalling Contract to Siemens Mobility Yurtdışı Haberleri by railsistem - Aralık 10, 20210 Siemens Mobility has been awarded the contract to deliver signalling works for the Carstairs remodelling project in Scotland. Siemens Mobility engineer at work on a signalling project © Siemens Mobility Cairstairs is a major junction on the West Coast Main Line (WCML), where the lines from London Euston and Edinburgh to Glasgow Central merge. This remodelling is set to improve reliability, operational resilience and flexibility in the area. The Siemens contract, valued at 50 million GBP (58.25m euros | 65.93m USD), includes the design, installation, testing and commissioning of the signalling works, and will see the company install its Trackguard WTS digital signalling technology in Scotland for the very first time. This uses an IP-based network to connect objects to the interlockings and control centres, and will enable line speed to be increased through the junction. It will also enable the removal of a temporary speed restriction on the WCML. Work has now begun on the detailed scheme design. Final commissioning is due to take place with a three-stage blockade between 23 April and 2 June 2023. source= https://railway-news.com/network-rail-awards-carstairs-junction-signalling-contract-to-siemens-mobility/ İlgili Share on Facebook Share Share on TwitterTweet Share on Pinterest Share Share on LinkedIn Share Share on Digg Share Send email Mail
