Bombardier to Open an Engineering Academy in Cairo

Bombardier Transportation says it will open an engineering academy in Cairo, Egypt, so that engineers can be trained to work on the Cairo monorail system as well as future mobility projects.

Bombardier announced its decision to establish an engineering academy in Cairo at the opening day of TransMEA 2020, an exhibition held in Egypt’s capital.

The intake will consist of recent engineering graduates in Egypt who would like to develop a career in rail transportation with Bombardier. At the academy students will undertake a structured series of work placements on Cairo’s monorail project. They will also receive classroom and online teaching, individual assignments and mentoring.

Following graduation, students will have access to Bombardier’s international job career path.
