Coast-to-coast African passenger train with Rovos Rail Yurtdışı Haberleri by railsistem - Kasım 2, 20190 SOUTH AFRICAN rail cruise operator Rovos Rail ran the first through passenger train between Tanzania, Zambia, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Angola in July. The journey took 15 days, with an eastbound train following the same route in reverse in August. Rovos Rail used its own fleet of ex-Queensland Rail (QR) EMD/Clyde-built GL26C locos to haul its ‘Trail of Two Oceans’ train from Tanzania to Angola and back. Loco Nos. 2355 (ex QR 2101) and 2359 (QR 2120) are seen at Lubumbashi, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, on August 9 with the westbound train. NIGEL EACOCK While the train made the entire journey, passengers disembarked for safaris and other visits en route, thus missing some sections of the rail journey.
