This will provide passengers time savings of up to 35–45 minutes, and will help lower road usage along the BCL by up to 17%.

Over 21 kilometres in length, the new section has 10 stations. These are Terekhovo, Kuntsevskaya, Davydkovo, Michurinsky Prospekt, Prospekt Vernadskogo, Novatorskaya, Vorontsovskaya, Zyuzino, Kakhovskaya, and Aminyevskaya – also part of the future Moscow Central Diameter 4.

The full launch of the BCL is scheduled for late 2022 or early 2023.

When complete, the loop line will have 31 stations and, at 70km in length, will be the longest metro loop line in the world.

This is three and half times longer than the existing Line 5/Circle Line, and a quarter longer than Beijing’s Line 10.
