Alstom Obtains 5-Year Service Contract for Dubai Airport APM

Alstom has obtained an extension to the service contract for the automated people mover system at Dubai International. The APMs – InnoviaTM 300 units – were originally manufactured by Bombardier Transportation, which Alstom acquired in January 2021. Bombardier also held the original service contract.

Alstom and Dubai Airports have signed a five-year contract extension for the provision of comprehensive operations and maintenance services for the InnoviaTM APM 300 system at Dubai International.

Bombardier Transportation originally supplied the turnkey APM system to connect Terminal 1 and Concourse D. The system started carrying passengers in February 2016. As part of that contract Bombardier designed and supplied the electrical and mechanical components, including 18 InnoviaTM 300 cars (which operate as five-car units) and its CityfloTM 650 CBTC technology. Bombardier Transportation acted as system integrator and led the project management, systems engineering, testing and commissioning. It also delivered the first five years of operations and maintenance services.
