Bombardier Transportation’s joint venture, Bombardier Sifang Transportation Ltd (BST), has won a contract from China Railway for 160 CR400AF cars. These new Chinese-standard high-speed train cars will operate on China’s growing high-speed rail network.

The 160 cars will be put together into ten 16-car trainsets and will operate at 350km/h. In total this contract is worth 2.97 billion CNY (380 million euros | 427 million USD). Bombardier Transportation is a 50-percent shareholder of BST, its partner being CRRC Sifang Rolling Stock Co., Ltd.
